Stomping the Search Engines 2

The people at Stompernet, an $800 a month internet marketing education subscription service, are releasing Stomping the Search Engines 2, an upgrade to their wildly popular Stomping the Search Engines program, and the kicker is, you can get the entire $497 package for FREE if you agree to try their new monthly internet marketing education magazine, The Net Effect for $39 a month.

I think most us may have a problem affording that $800 a month subscription, but $39 a month? That may be do-able.

What do you think?

So the Stompernet people are offering the 1st issue of The Net Effect for FREE and you’ll receive Stomping the Search Engines 2 for FREE as well!  Then if you chose not to continue with the subscription, all you have to do is call the number in the magazine and cancel before being billed for Month 2.   So you’ll end up paying $10 for the shipping and handling (in the U.S.) and get the whole shebang for FREE.

There are a number of people out there who have already received pre-launch versions of the product for review purposes. A quick google search will uncover several glowing reviews.

I may just give The Net Effect and Stomping the Search Engines 2 a try.

What about you?

Can Google build the Ultimate Browser?

Google announced the launch of their own web browser, Google Chrome.

Google says they have “designed a browser window that is streamlined and simple.”  Their trademark simple interface has been an enormous boon to thei progress of their search engine, making them #1 in the search space.  For those of us trying to learn how to make money online, optimizing for Google is essential.  Perhaps this new browser will contain features to assist in that optimization process.

Google claims that Chrome will be “a browser that runs today’s complex web applications much better.”  It will also offer better protection by “keeping each tab in an isolated “sandbox”"  This will prevent attacks on the contents of one tab from crashing the entire browser.  With “improved speed and responsiveness across the board”, Google Chrome promises to be a challenger to Microsoft’s Internet Explorer and Mozilla’s Firefox.  In fact, Google representatives claim that Chrome has “a more powerful JavaScript engine, V8, to power the next generation of web applications that aren’t even possible in today’s browsers.”  That’s quite a claim and I am interested to see it’s implementation.  Google has also followed Mozilla’s lead by making Google Chrome “open-source” which will allow developers to extend it and build their own plug-ins for it.

In order to explain Google Chrome, they’ve put together an online Comic Book which I found quite interesting.

Recently I’ve begun using Mozilla’s new browser,  Flock which touts itself as “The Social Browser” but I’ll be very interested in seeing the new Google Chrome

Saying goodbye to my little friend.

Some of you know me and know how much I love dogs.  Last week I had five.  This week I have four left.

Last week I had to say goodbye to my littlelest buddy, my Chihuahua, Gizmo.

To say that he was a member of my family is an understatement.  He was over a dozen years old and he’d been with us through it all.  Through the highs and the lows, through thick and thin.

Gizmo, my good little boy, I love you and I miss you something terrible.  I know it’s impossible but I wish you could have lived forever.  Thank you for being a blessing in my life for so long.

If you aren’t in heaven when I get there then I’m not going.

The Best Things in Life are FREE!

One way to make money online is to find useful stuff for FREE online.

The good people at Kiplingers have put together their Fabulous Freebies 2008 list full of some great products, services and other stuff that you can get for free.

I especially like their #1 item HULU.com where you can catch up with all the episodes you missed from your favorite TV shows.

Now that’s cool!

Anyway, give it a look and maybe you’ll find something of use.

As my Grandpa used to say . . . “couldn’t hurt . . .”

There’s a new kid in town . . .

OK, maybe he’s not so new but I just liked that headline.

There is one ingredient to making money online that is so critical that without it, you can just pack your bags and say goodnight Gracie!

And what exactly is this most critical, can’t live without it ingredient for internet marketing success?

Organic Traffic! Duh!

How can you make money online unless you can get people to your site?  If they never see your site, they’ll never see your products or your ads or whatever?

Put simply, you can’t. No traffic = no $$$

So how do we get people to visit our sites?

Well, one of the more important things to learn, if not the most important thing, is SEO or Search Engine Optimization.

What is SEO?   I’m glad you asked.

There is a lot of complicated lingo around the internet about what exactly SEO is, but I found a really good description of SEO on the Justin Brigg’s site SEO Zombie. In fact, I found quite a wealth of SEO information at Justin’s site and I think you will agree.

Now the reason I called him a kid in the headline is because Justin, is a full-time college student! Well, he may be young, but he’s no dummy and he’s sharing his knowledge in the area of Search Engine Optimization for all who care to explore his site.

I’ve been making my way through SEO Zombie and I can tell you honestly, he’s got some great stuff there folks.

So if you want to learn to rank higher in the search engines and make more money online, you need to be checking out SEO Zombie.

No Duh!

Have you taken the 30 day challenge?

I’ve been slowly (very slowly) working my way through Ed Dale’s 30 Day Challenge and I can tell you that there is literally a ton of valuable information in this free course.

One thing I’ve enjoyed the crap out of is the Flock browser they introduced in the pre-season training.  This is a cool browser folks.  It’s made by the same people responsible for firefox and it is called “The Social Web Browser” because it’s got all sorts of neat features built in that make it that much easier to work with many of the major social sites like Twitter, Facebook, Youtube and several others.  It also makes it a 1 click operation to grab any RSS feed from any site and add it to your Google Reader.

By the way, if you aren’t using Google Reader, you should be.  It’s a fantastic way to have the information most important to you and your business come directly to you each day in a nice easy to peruse format.  It’s a godsend for people trying to make money online and will soon become an important tool for your business.

Another amazing benefit of this free class is the free access we’ve had to Market Samurai a Niche Research and keyword tool with some really fabulous features like automatic SEO competition analysis, the ability to find related content online for your niche and several other features.  As 30 Day Challenge participants, we can grab a copy at the ridiculously low price of $69!  That’s 50% off what the normal price will be once the product is fully launched in September.

The problem with the 30 Day Challenge is of course, finding the time to go through all the material.  People who have started the project and kept up with it are currently on day 23 or 24 I believe, while I am still wading my way slowly through the waters at day 4.

Hey, I may be slow, but as they say, slow and steady wins the race.

No matter, the material will remain available after the 30 days are up and will continue to be relevant for quite a long time to come.
